Hi there,
I will be arriving in CapeTown on June 26 around 9pm. I have 30 days to explore. I was very (still debating) close to booking a 24 day tour, but it seems to be pretty expensive in comparison to other safaris. It is mostly camping with 9 nights lodging for under $3000, but then Id still be responsible for half of my meals and 6 nights lodging on my own (which will be a good thing!) It sounds great, but there aren't really any single people going. This particular tour ends in…

Kruger Camping

Hellooo

I'll be traveling from Kosi Bay to Kruger between the 16th & 24th of May 2018 (flexible) and looking to share costs with anyone that's keen to join. Nelspruit would be a good place to collect people that's keen. I'll be camping and will be traveling in my own car and can accommodate up to 3.

Travel company Hipmunk, which searches flights and hotels, sent this email:

"Experience the inspired scene of Cape Town, South Africa, where you'll find an eclectic mix of culture, a thriving art scene, music festivals, and parades-not to mention that balmy Mediterranean climate and beautiful local beaches."

Hello travellers! The only flight from Joburg to Plett seems to be the flight of FlyCemAir, but I have read that a large part of their aircraft was taken the licence from South African Aviation, recently, January or February 2018; someone has recently travelled with Cemair? Experiences?
I know that there is also an airport in George or in Port Elizabeth, but as I am not driving, I thought that this little airport of Plettenberg, 6 km from Plett and 20 km from Knysna would be a good point to start…

Hello Everyone

My family and I are book to travel to Cape town in September! we leave September 9th to October 1st. We are travelling with our 2 yr old daughter. We are looking for some information on what are "must see's" and also with the water restrictions if it is making travel there more difficult. We are looking into renting our own vehicle but would like to know how is it driving yourself or if its best to hire a driver. We are looking into booking Sabi-Sands for our Safari and also…

Hi,

Does anyone have any fun/good tips for a overnight stay between Durban toward Joburg. Our flight in Joburg is in the evening somewhere and we are staying with relatives in Durban for a new days prior to our trip back home. On our way towards Durban we already visited Golden gate NP and we slept in Harrismith. Nice hotel, but we are looking for something more cosy or an alternative route (with one stop over) from Durban to Joburg. We thought of Midlands, but in that case our drive to Joburg…

hey guys,

Travelling to Gaansbai as volunteer in mid Sep-mid Oct this year. I'm trying to figure out a week long garden tour back to Cape Town after my volunteer stint. Unfortunately I don't have credit card so can't rent a car, anyone know the best way to get about and also know any companies that might offer some decent horticulture based treks? Also, does anyone have any other tips for amazing gardens/reserve areas other than the usual botanic gardens worth visiting? Not interested in the…

Kruger Safari

Hi there,

I'm looking for some advice on safaris in Kruger for July this year. First off, is it necessary to do one or is a self drive just as good?

Can anyone recommend a good tour company for safaris? We're two fit travellers who would love to see some of The Big 5. We do not need any luxuries in the way of accommodation or food. We're happy with a budget trip but if we need to shell out a bit of money for a knowledgable tour operator. When possible we like to support local and…

Hi traveling buddies,

my wife and I are going to South Africa in September (15th to 28th). We have a wedding in Cape Town to attend on 22nd. Everything else is open. Obviously since in Cape Town we would like to spend some time there, but then would be open for anything else in SA or around... What we are after is some cultural experience, then doing a safari and doing some adventure, like maybe cycling Garden Route for few days, hiking... Would you suggest going to neighboring countries, how…
