Taxis connect the city centre with the airport, 6km south.

SA Express Flies to/from Jo’burg (from R900, one hour) and Cape Town (from R1000, 1½ hours).

Tickets 4 Africa sells tickets for Greyhound, Intercape and City to City. There are direct services to Cape Town (R595, 12 hours), Jo’burg (R365, seven hours) and Bloemfontein (R250, 2½ hours). Intercape runs services to Upington (R380, seven hours) on Friday and Sunday.

Translux buses also serve Kimberley, though there is no booking office in the city.


Avis, Budget, Europcar, First, Hertz, Sixt and Tempest have desks at Kimberley airport. Hire rates start at around R300 per day.
