8 Days: Explore Addo - Garden Route - Winelands - Cape Town

Day 1. Departure from  Port Elizabeth Airport around Mid-day. Transfer to Addo Park for a Game Drive. We spend an unforgettable time in the park  teeming with wildlife. Addo offers viewing of some of Africa's most impressive animals, including elephant, lion, buffalo, black rhino, leopard and kudu.  Optional Night Drive is available. Accommodation is in the Addo area. Dinner is included tonight. Day 2.  Head down to the Garden Route. Follow the coastal road winding its way along river gorges, over breathtaking mountain passes and through dense indigenous forests. Our exploration of this ancient forest includes a drive through Natures Valley, which winds its way through the tangle of trees, ferns and creepers to massive Outeniqua Yellowwood trees.  Enjoy a short hike in the forest before heading down to the beach for a swim.En route guests may choose between a visit to Monkeyland or the Birds Of Eden. We pass through Plettenberg Bay to Knysna. Here guests may enjoy  an optional yacht or  boat sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.Day 3. Today we visit the Knysna Region. Explore the Knysna Heads, Coney Glen Beach, Brenton & Buffalo Bay. The afternoon is free for optional activities such as Whale Watching or the popular Knysna Township Trail. Guests will be able to enjoy a typical South African barbeque (braai) at the Knysna Yacht Club.Day 4. Depart for Oudtshoorn. Our first stop is the Cango Caves. In the late afternoon experience an Ostrich Ranch. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.Day 5.Drive Route 62. The road takes us through some wonderful mountain scenery until we reach the Cape Wine-lands. Enjoy a stop for optional lunch and a wine tasting before checking in to our accommodation which is situated on a wine farm. Enjoy a sunset walk amongst the vineyards.  Dinner is included tonight.Day 6. Visit Stellenbosch where guests are taken on a tour of a wine cellar and enjoy a wine tasting. We stop at Spier Estate for an optional picnic lunch on the river bank. Continue on to Cape Town. Accommodation is in the proximity of the V&A waterfront. Day 7. Tour of the Cape of Good Hope. A visit to Cape Point will reward you with the opportunity to witness the meeting of the mighty Atlantic & Indian Oceans. Pass through seaside villages such as Muizenberg, Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek.  We stop at the False Bay Yacht Club for lunch.The penguin colony at Seaforth always proves to be a lot of fun. On to Cape Point where guests can enjoy a short hike to the Cape of Good Hope. The return journey takes you along the scenic Chapmans Peak and Hout Bay.Day 8. Guests are free to take an optional visit to Robben Island and Table Mountain. In the early afternoon you are dropped of at Cape Town Airport or, if you are staying longer in CT, we will drop you at your hotel. Day 8.
