Isandlwana Battlefield

KwaZulu-Natal

The Isandlwana Visitors Centre has a small museum; the entrance fee includes the battlefield. The battlefield itself is extremely evocative. White cairns and memorials mark the spots where the bodies of British soldiers were gathered en masse for burial and there are several memorials throughout. It's best seen with a local guide.
