What a fantastic way to experience the winelands, from between the ears of a horse. Our 2 Hour trail ride will start off with a short lesson for novices, after which we will head out onto our own nursery farm, and then cross to our neighbouring wine farm. Your ride will take you through vineyards, farmland and indigenous fynbos, all with spectacular views of Table mountain.
We do not mix groups, so you will not be held back or put under pressure from other guests. Everyone gets exactly the ride they want, be that a gentle walk through vinyards, or a fast paced canter down a farm track.
Your guide will be a local guide, with vast knowledge of South-African culture, the local area and natural horsemanship.
Your 1 Hour Trail ride will start off with a brief safety chat ( and fitting of compulsory safety helmets ) & a short lesson for novices, to get the basics. Once everyone is comfortable with their horse and gear, we will head off for our ride.
You are likely to spot many different species of birds on our nursery farm, including Jackal Buzzards, Red Bishops and Spoonbills. You may also spot some small antelope like Ribok or Steenbok.
Once we cross over to our neighboring farm, we ride through vineyards, with spectacular views of table mountain, Simonsberg mountain and du Toits Kloof Mountains. We pass through forested areas, and also indigenous fynbos.
We will stop for some refreshments, for both ourselves and the horses along the way. (Included in your ride)
Our horses are very well trained, and not your usual trail horses who are dull and bored.
We have a mix of Arabs, South-African 'boerperd', Thoroughbreds and Apaloosas, all which are well adjusted to our climate and conditions.
We do not mix groups, so you will get exactly the ride you want, be that a gentle meander or a fast paced canter.
