On Lola Island, about 20 minutes by boat from Munda, this small resort with a casual atmosphere satiates the white-sand beach, coconut-palm, azure-lagoon fantasy, with six spacious, fan-cooled bungalows scattered amid a nicely landscaped property. The cheaper ones are fairly basic leafhouses, while the two deluxe units boast private bathrooms and unobstructed views over the lagoon.
The restaurant (meals per day A$80) gets good reviews. This place offers village tours, lagoon excursions and sportfishing charters, and there's a great beach with good swimming. Bonus: free kayaks. Return boat transfers to Munda cost A$120 per boatload. Divers can be picked up at the resort by the local dive centre. Credit cards are accepted.
