Radenci is best known for its health-spa resort which opened in 1882 and has three claims to fame: water rich in carbon dioxide for drinking; mineral-laden thermal water (41°C) for bathing; and sulphurous mud from Lake Negova for therapeutic treatments. Apart from the spa, there's little else to do and most visitors are here for medical rather than recreational reasons.

When most Slovenes hear the name Radenci they think of Radenska Tri Srca – the ‘Radenci Three Hearts’ mineral water that's bottled here and consumed in every restaurant and cafe in the land.
