One of Slovenia’s nicest hostels, partially built within the walls of an 18th-century town house with rooms over five floors. Iron Age–style art sets off the cosy rooms; we love the attic dormitory under the mansard roof, but perhaps not in midsummer heat. There's no kitchen for guests, but breakfast is included; the on-site bar-restaurant has a set lunch from €4.
Located in the heart of Novo Mesto, Hostel Situla offers en-suite accommodation with free Wi-Fi as well as a restaurant and a bar. The decorations are inspired by the ancient Situla Art. The hostel offers heated rooms and dormitories featuring hardwood floors. The sheets and linen are decorated with Situla Art patterns. Situla Restaurant serves traditional Slovene cuisine for lunch every day. Staff can arrange packed lunches for guests. The furnished garden provides a relaxing environment where guests can enjoy drinks or have lunch and dinner. Rooms and certain facilities for disabled guests are also available. The hostel has an internet café. It offers a selection of beverages and books for reading on site. T-shirts and bed linen with Situla motives, as well as archaeological replicas are on offer at the hostel's souvenir shop. Situla Hostel is right on the Novo Mesto Main Square. Restaurants, bars, museums and public transport facilities are easily accessible. Ljubljana is 70 km away and Zagreb is 80 km from the Situla.
