I'm off to Lake Bled soon and I'm working out my daily budget.
I have accom, breakfasts, a number of activities/trips and transportation all sorted.
I have to consider lunches, dinners and any other accidentals in my daily budget - and at the moment I've approx €65 per day. Does this seem reasonable or should I consider more?
Thanks so much
I would like to rent a byclicle for one day in Ljubljana in June - Is it possible
Any address where to rent
Which tour are worth doing with the bycicle?
Thx for answer
I will be spending 2 days in Ljubljana and going to Zadar either via Zagreb or direct would it be okay to purchase a ticket when I'm there 2 days prior to departure or would I have to pre book it.I take it is a popular route to Zagreb anyway I just dont know if I need to book in advance or not.
I plan to buy SIM of a Slovenian cellular provider that'll also work in neighboring EU countries.
I need some local call allowance to call hotels & taxi services. But data is of more importance, as I rely heavily on translation and mapping apps. And of course, network coverage must be good in remote rural area where I plan to trek.
So which one will be better?:
* Telemach - ŠE VEČ Euro 16/month
* A1 - SIMPL 1500 Euro 10/month
* Telecom Slovenije - Čvekaj Mobi Euro 7.95/month
Hi, heading to Slovenia, Croatia and a few Balkan countries in June and need to eat a strictly gluten-free diet. Any suggestions? Are there any local dishes that are naturally wheat free? Any suggestions for health food stores to buy supplies at?
Hello all. Im going to spend a weekend in Triglav in a week and am looking for some good day hikes. Ideally looking for 4-6 hours roundtrip, not overnighting with good views or something interesting otherwise to see. Will be spending Friday, Saturday and Sunday night there so have two full days. Only one I found so far that looked good was Krn lake.
Thanks in advance.
We will be in Slovenia at the end of September (September 24-Oct 6). We want to visit Velika Planina and I read that the herdsmen are usually there until the end of September-ish. Do you think we will see any of the herdsmen if we go there September 25th or 26th? Or will things pretty much be wrapped up there by that time?
Even without being able to see the herdsmen, I still think it looks like a worthy trip for the easy hikes with the kids and incredible scenery...I was just curious about…
My husband and I have hired a campervan for four nights in August, and were wondering if anyone could suggest specific camping grounds for us to stay in overnight?
Are all places we would like to see, but are very open to roadtrip routes and other suggestions.
Please advise if the itinerary below makes sense by public transport at the end of June:
Piran (coming from Croatia)
Soca Valley / Soca River / Bovec / Triglav National Park
Ljubljana for take off
I arrive by overnight bus from Pisa into Ljubljana early the morning of 23/04/18 and leave by train early the morning of 27/04/18 to Vienna.
I plan to stay in a backpackers, I am open for either a lively social place or an unusual place that has a cool vibe or one that organises trips. Basically as long as it is fun in some way I don't mind.
I was wondering is people could help me with ideas of both the must see touristy stuff and also a few ideas of unusual things to see or do in…
