For watery pursuits, make a beeline to the banks of the Kolpa. The meandering 118km-long river marks the border with Croatia and is the warmest and one of the cleanest rivers in the country. The villages of Adlešiči and, to the west, Stari Trg ob Kolpi make good bases for those keen on rafting, boating, fishing and swimming. Kolpa Landscape Park is a popular recreation area.
Facility-wise, Vinica is the largest village, with amenities including a grocery store.
