Hong Lim Food Centre

in Chinatown & the CBD

Not short on gossiping ‘uncles’ with discerning palates, this old-school food centre is routinely crowded. Must trys include char kway teow (stir-fried rice noodles with eggs, Chinese sausage, bean sprouts, chives, chilli, and sweet and savoury soy sauce) from Outram Park Fried Kway Teow and the Hokkien chang (pork dumpling with mushroom, chestnut and salted egg) from Hiong Kee Dumplings.

Seafood fiends should head straight to Tuck Kee Ipoh Sah Hor Fun. Only a few stalls are open at night, so it's best to head here for lunch; come before 11.30am to miss the chaotic rush.
