Central Freetown is the country's business district, where you'll find major banks and government offices. It's set out on a grid pattern with Siaka Stevens St as the main thoroughfare. Budget hotels are clustered near PZ Turntable, which stays busy late into the night. Most upmarket hotels and expat hangouts are located to the west of the centre, in Aberdeen, Murray Town and Lumley, a journey of 30 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. To the east are the poorer districts of Kissy, Cline Town and Upgun, where you'll find the ferry terminal, as well as transport hubs for journeys upcountry.
