Hi,

I am having a hard time creating an itinerary for the Seychelles, as it seems like I have to book flights/boats to Praslin/Mahe/La Digue and accommodation in in those places in advance. I am always used to deciding my next steps on the spot.

The only one I have booked is accommodation in Praslin for 4 nights in the middle of our trip, and the rest I have no idea. So far I was thinking 5 nights La Digue and 6 nights Mahe, but I am afraid I will get bored of La Digue, have too little of…

Hi all-

My husband and I are looking to travel in May/June and have hoarded airline miles for years for a special trip. We have two children (9 and 11). They have travelled many places internationally and we have chartered catamarans in the BVI's, exumas and abacos.

It is a big trip and was wondering if anyone has travelled to these areas and have compared pros and cons? Beaches, underwater, culture.

Thank you in advance!

Meegan

Hi,

Were a couple who would love to have a short boat holiday in the Seychelles - like 4-5 days in December 2018. staying onboard, with a skipper. We dont need the boat for ourselves - sharing with others (not too many though) is perfect (also to save money).

Do any of you know of somebody (a company or person wtih a boat) who can take us onboard? The only company I can find is luxury and cost like 3000 -4000 euro for 4-5 days - that is far too much.

Cheers!

Hilde

Hi- I'm struggling to find online if there will be the Carnaval celebration this April or if it has been cancelled as a stand-alone event?

Thanks for the info.

I will be calling into the Seychelles for three days on a cruise leaving in a few days - I have booked one shore excursion but may want to do some "off the pier".

Would I be able to do this using my Mastercard?

If not, should I bring Euros or US Dollars?

I guess Australian dollars would not be so freely exchanged.

Hope someone can help at this short notice.

We are travelling to Seychelles from South Africa and will spend a night in a hotel in Nairobi Kenya. The yellow fever certificates will be 5 days old when we arrive. Is this likely to be a problem? They apparently only become valid 10 days after the innoculation?

Hi,
We, a 60+ couple, will stay 10 days on the Seychelles. We will stay at the same hotel at Beau Vallon Beach, Mahe during this time but will make daily excursions. Would like to get some advice about getting around on Mahe.
We wonder:
* Is it possible to get from the airport to Beau Vallon Beach by public transport (bus) and if yes, is advisable [we will arrive about noon]?
* How much would it cost to take a taxi for the same ride?
* What is the general cost for a taxi between Victoria and Beau…
