There is very little in the way of nightlife or cafe culture in the Seychelles. These are quiet islands; those looking for an Ibiza-style party atmosphere were badly advised by their travel agent. There are a few lively bars near Victoria, though. You can also check out the bars at the larger hotels.

What to Drink

Freshly squeezed juices and coconut water are the most natural and thirst-quenching drinks around. If you want to put some wobble in your step, Seybrew, the local brand of beer, is sold everywhere. Eku, another locally produced beer, is a bit harder to find. Wine is available at most restaurants.

The rums produced by Takamaka Bay, on the East Coast of Mahé, ranks among the best in the Indian Ocean.
