This 96-mile route promoted by the local government runs from Oban to Helensburgh via sea lochs and the Crinan canal. It's a spectacular paddle; the only annoyance is not being able to traverse the canal's locks: bookable trolleys are provided for easy portage. Paddlers are encouraged to register online.
