Ferry Brewery

Brewery in Queensferry

Queensferry's first brewery, dating from 1851, this pint-sized operation is squeezed into the former cowshed of an old farm overlooking the Forth Bridge near Dalmeny station. The tiny taproom has several of its dozen-plus beers on draught, from traditional Scottish ale to stout and smoked beer. Weekend brewery tours (£10) include tastings of the beers on tap.

If you're in town during August's Burry Man festivities, seek out the brewery's limited-edition Burryman ale, made using burdock root in homage.
