The Maid of the Forth makes the 90-minute voyage to Inchcolm most days, taking in the Forth's bridges, islands and shoreline vistas en route. There's usually an option to stop over on this beautiful island, with its well-preserved 12th-century abbey, for another 90 minutes (£6 extra), and some trips include a 45-minute guided tour (£26.50 total).

The boat also hosts occasional folk and jazz dinners, birdwatching cruises and excursions upriver.
