The West End's key sights are fairly close together in this neighbourhood's centre. The Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum could easily take half a day or more to explore, while the Hunterian Museum and art gallery, incorporating Mackintosh House, are also both worth plenty of time. But much of the pleasure of the district is in wandering, whether browsing shops up and down Byres Rd, pacing the path along the River Kelvin, or strolling the Botanic Gardens. You should dedicate at least two evenings of your stay in Glasgow to the West End: one around Great Western and Byres Rds, the other on the Finnieston strip of eateries on Argyle St.
