Something a bit different, this welcoming, spacious brewpub on the edge of Glasgow Green churns out beers brewed to the traditional German purity laws (which basically means they're bloody good) in a bizarrely ornate former carpet factory opposite the People's Palace. German dishes such as sausages and pork knuckle (mains £9 to £13) can accompany the amber fluid. There's a great grassy beer garden outside.
