Soak up the spirit of Speyside on a 3-Day small-group whisky tour! Explore Scotland’s principle malt whisky producing region, which is noted for its elegant and subtle-tasting whiskies. Your small-group 3-day whisky tour will depart from Edinburgh with a maximum of 16 people and head to the north-east area of Scotland! The region of Speyside follows the path of the River Spey, stretching from the west of the Cairngorm National Park to the east coast. Boasting an impressive scene of winding lochs, green glens and dramatic peaks, the region has something for everyone. Enjoy visits to four of the region’s famous whisky distilleries, Dalwhinnie, Benromach, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet and enjoy tastings and samples galore. Speyside is home to another 42 operating distilleries, so there’s certainly plenty more to see if time permits! You will also visit Gordon and MacPhail’s legendary whisky shop in the Royal Burgh (town) of Elgin where you can shop for some of Speyside’s finest malts.

Blair Castle’s story will take you from Mary Queen of Scots to the Civil War, and from the Act of Union to the Jacobite cause and the disaster of Culloden, and from the Isle of Man to Queen Victoria’s love affair with the Scottish Highlands and her presentation of colors to the Atholl Highlanders. 30 rooms are open to view, each alive with characters from the past, highlights include the Baronial Entrance Hall and armoury featuring weapons used at the Battle of Culloden, the classic Georgian styling of the picture staircase and the magnificent ballroom bedecked in hundreds of antlers. Enjoy freshly made tea, coffee, cakes and scones and a hot traditional Scottish menu in our Tullibardine restaurant and pick up some Scottish gifts in our gift shop before venturing out into our extensive grounds.
