This balanced 3-day tour includes the brightest sights of St Petersburg and its vicinity. You will explore the city center by a private car/minivan, making stops wherever you want and asking all your questions to your knowledgeable guide. Visit the vast Hermitage Museum and the Church on the Spilled Blood, take a canal cruise in the afternoon. Next 2 days of the tour are devoted to the summer residences of the Russian Tzars - Peterhof and Tsarskoye Selo (Catherine's Palace).
Day 1 - The Highlights of St Petersburg (7 hours)Your private and professional guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel in the morning. You will have a detailed city tour to see such remarkable places as Nevsky Prospect, Kazan Cathedral, St Isaac's Square, the University Embankment, the Spit of VAsilievsky Island, St Peter and Paul Fortress, the Summer Garden and many other sights. Later, enjoy a guided tour of the Hermitage Museum, including the Winter Palace and other historical buildings of the museum complex. The guide will adjust the excursion to your preferences to make in interesting and exclusive for you. You will have a lunch stop in a local restaurant per guide's recommendation (not included). Once finished, take a romantic canal cruise to enjoy the views of St Petersburg (Venice of the North) from the water. The last activity of the day is visiting the Church of our Savior on the Spilled Blood, the symbol of Russian people's love to Emperor Alexander II.Day 2 - Half-day trip to Peterhof (5 hours)You will be taken to Peterhof, one of the most famous complexes of palaces, parks, and fountains in all the world. Learn more about the life of the tzars on the excursion to the Grand Palace of Peterhof. Later, you will see the unbelievable luxury of the Grand Cascade in Lower Park, numerous golden statues, water sprays, and pavilions. On your way to the city center, you will have a short subway excursion to see the most fabulous subway stations in St Petersburg.Day 3 - Half-day trip to Tsarskoye Selo (4 hours)Head south from the city center to a suburban town called Pushkin. It is more famous as the Tzars' Village (Tsarskoye Selo), the official summer residence of Russian Empress Catherine II. This is where you will visit the most extravagant palace of all Russia - Catherine's Palace. You will see the famous Dancing Hall full of windows, mirrors and gilded decoration, the Golden Enfillade and the Amber Room.
