Hello everyone! We have bought our flights to Russia for a long weekend giving us 3 full days, Sat 25, Sun 26 and Mon 27 August. We arrive late Friday night and leave Tuesday afternoon. I’m going with my fiancé and my mom. Visas are not a problem. My mom has always been fascinated with Russian history and that should be the main focus for our trip. We want to stay in AirBnb so that we can make our own meals and have a shared chill area rather than separate hotel rooms. AirBnb prices look good…

I will be travelling with my 76 year old mother to Saint Petersburg. We are staying at Station Hotel L1 in Central District. Is it best to use the offical taxi despatcher at airport or pre book transfer with KiwiTaxi.
Thank you in advance.
I will arrive at Sheremetyevo in the night thus Aeroexpress is not an option. Taxi reservation at the terminal booth is 1250 but on the Yandex website it is only 750. It is even possible to make a reservation but I am not sure they will. Send a confirmation sms on a foreign phone number. Can anybody advise?
I'm Pakistani national and resident of UAE, frequent backpacker and a globe trotter.

My wife and I are travelling this summer from Russia to Georgia overland via North Ossetia and the Military Highway. The plan is to stay 2 nights in Vladikavkaz before crossing the border. We have few questions regarding our stay there as there doesn't seem to be enough information on Internet to guide us:
1) Do we need any permit to access to North Ossetia knowing that we would be coming by train from Rostov?
2) What could and should be explored on a day trip from Vladikavkaz…
