Drinking & Nightlife

Drinking – both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages – is an integral part of Russian culture and society. All manner of cafés and bars can be found across the country, with places for tea, coffee and cakes highly popular. You’ll also come across so-called 'anti-cafés’ where you pay for the time you spend in in a place rather than the drinks. Clubbing is also huge in Moscow and St Petersburg.
