Transylvania. The name itself is enough to send an icy chill down the spine of even the most fearless adventurer. Now imagine being there, in person, when the clock clangs midnight… on Halloween! At odds with its creeptacular reputation, Romania ranks as one of Europe’s most charming and underexplored regions, beguiling visitors with its stunning Gothic architecture, enveloping forests, and friendly people. But as idyllic as it is by day, the real fun happens at night — particularly Halloween, when we’ll treat you to a costume party in an authentic castle. Think you’re not afraid of the dark? Itinerary

Day 1 Bucharest There are no activities planned until the evening welcome meeting. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting
Day 2 Bucharest/Sibiu (1B) With time, opt to head out of town and visit the open air museum of Traditional Folk Civilization. Included Activities: Curtea De Arges Monestary Visit Poenari Castle Visit Orientation Walk Transport: Stop at Poenari Castle and Curtea De Arges Monestary en route. Private Vehicle (3.00 hour(s))
Day 3 Sibiu/Sighișoara (1B) Journey on to Sighisoara through a route that winds through beautiful old german villages. After arriving in Sighisoara, take a tour of the old town, and learn about the birth story of Vlad "The Impaler". Opt to sample some Romanian cuisine—the Casa Dracula (original home of Vlad) is now a restaurant specializing in hearty meat and game dishes of the region. Day 4 Sighișoara/Bran (1B) Stop for a visit at Rupea citadel, a 14th century fortress, en route to Bran. Get to the know the city on an orientation walk. Afterwards, opt to take a short taxi ride into nearby Braşov and explore this quaint town's baroque architecture and beautiful squares. Day 5 Bran (1B, 1D) Come in costume to a party at Bran Castle, rumoured to be a one of the most haunted places in Europe. We have the castle to ourselves as this is an invite only event. After a guided tour of the castle by Dracula himself, party well into the night…if you dare! Included Activities: Bran's Castle Halloween Party
Day 6 Bran/Bucharest (1B) Enjoy free time to explore Bucharest's many attractions, including one of its best museums, the Museum of the Romanian Peasant. Opt to explore the Soviet-esque architecture, the beautiful cathedral, or indulge in the city's international cuisine. Included Activities: Orientation Walk Snagov Monastery Transport: Private Vehicle (2.75 hour(s))
Day 7 Bucharest (1B) Depart at any time.
