Day 1: Bucharest - Targoviste - Sibiu In the morning depart to Targoviste, the capital of Wallachia in the times of Vlad Tepes. The first Prince County was built by Mircea the Old, the grandfather of Dracula, Vlad Impaler did added later the same tower "Chindia" (Turnul Chindiei). Later we will arrive in the medieval town of Sibiu, also European Capital of Culture in 2007. Overnight in a 4* hotel in Poiana Brasov. Day 4: Poiana Brasov – Bran – Sinaia – Bucharest Leave early in the morning and return to the capital, Bucharest. Departure to Bran, small agricultural village that hides the most famous castle in Romania - Dracula's Castle. Visit the castle of the vampire count, full of labirinths, staircases and secret passages, with its courtyard where we can still imagine the bodies impaled in agony, while the prince was dining (one of his habits). 8 Day Classic Romania tour with Transylvania and Maramures

Day 1Welcome to Romania! We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel, where you will check in. Your experience in Romania starts with a city tour of Bucharest. Day 2In the morning, we will take a trip to two of Romania’s most important religious settlements, Curtea de Arges Monastery and Cozia Monastery. We will then leave for Sibiu, where we will take a city tour and discover its most important touristic attractions. Day 3Our day begins with a trip to Sibiel, the rural replica of Sibiu. Here, you will take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, and you will get to experience the local life. We will then visit Alba Iulia, a city which is home to Romania’s largest fortification, the Alba Carolina Fortress. Next, we will visit the Turda Salt Mine, the most spectacular underground theme park in the world, carved in a salt mine with hundreds of meters of galleries. Our journey takes us to Cluj-Napoca, where we will spend the night. Day 4On the fourth day, we will take a city tour of Cluj-Napoca, a city dominated by Baroque architecture. We will then head North-West to Maramures, an „open-air museum”. We will start exploring this beautiful region in Breb, a village whose traditional houses and wooden church is included in the UNESCO Patrimony. Afterwards, we will visit the Merry Cemetery, and we will enjoy a traditional Romanian dinner and a folkloric show in Săpânța. Day 5Today we will continue exploring Maramureș with a visit to two of its Wooden Churches included in the UNESCO Patrimony: Poienile Izei and Bârsana. Day 6In the morning, we will head to the Bierțan Fortified Church, one of Transylvania’s most remarkable monastic settlements. Our day will end with a visit to the traditional villages of Saschiz and Viscri. Day 7The 7th day of our tour begins in the medieval city of Brașov, where we will visit its most popular attractions: The Black Church, the Rope Street, and the Council Square. 3-day local experience in Transylvania

Day 1 | Discover the secrets of TransylvaniaOur tour begins from the gorgeous Cluj-Napoca, a city renowned for its bohemian cafes, and we will head to Turda, where we will visit one of the most spectacular underground places in the world, Turda Salt Mine. The next landmark on our list is the Alba Carolina Fortress, the largest and most valuable bastion fortress in South-Eastern Europe. Our next destination is the quaint village of Sibiel, a place where time stood still, and that is inhabited by less than 500 people. Once there, we will enjoy a carriage ride through the village, and then we will enter the home of a local family, where we will have a delicious dinner prepared with traditional products. At night, we will reach Sibiu, where we will check in at the hotel. Overnight in Sibiu.Day 2 | Experience the local life On the second day, we will get to discover Transylvania in a more up-close and personal manner. Our first stop is Nucet, where we will meet a family that owns a Micro-Farm and an ecologic garden. Overnight in Brasov.Day 3 | Explore Medieval Romania The last day of your tour starts with a trip to Europe’s last inhabited medieval citadel, Sighisoara. We will visit its Clock Tower, which housed the Citadel Council until 1556, and was also used as a holding cell for prisoners sentenced to death. Today, it is home to Sighisoara’s History Museum. Our next stop is Biertan, one of the first Saxon settlements in Transylvania. Surrounded by quaint streets and vineyards, the medieval complex is made up of the church and its fortification, which was placed on top of a hill, in the heart of the settlement. After a long day, we will head to Jidvei, where we will visit the beautiful Bethlen-Haller Castle (Jidvei Castle). Jidvei is the most important producer of white wines in Romania, and vineyards were present here ever since the Iron Age. Its wine was awarded 4 silver medals at the Japan Wine Challenge in Tokyo, and here we will relish some of the delicious wine varieties. At night, we will reach Cluj-Napoca, and our tour will come to an end.

Day Trip to Sibiu Transylvania from Bucharest

Discover a wonderful part of Romania on this day-trip. You will start in the morning from your hotel and head north-west toward Pitesti and eventually enter the Olt River Valley. This is one of the most beautiful river valleys in Romania and has in its beginning at an architectural and historical monument: the Cozia Monastery. This structure was built in 1388 by Mircea the Elder, the Grandfather of Vlad the Impaler. Your next stop will be Sibiu, which was a European Cultural Capital in 2007 along with the city of Luxembourg, when Romania joined European Union. With its Large Square, Small Square and Huet Square it was the largest fortified city of Transylvania in medieval times. You will take a walking tour and discover the admire beautiful landmarks like the Brukenthal Palace, Jesuit Church, Old City Hall tower, Evangelical Church and Liars Bridge, the first iron cast bridge in the country. In order to show you what life is like for locals especially in the countryside, the next stop of the day will be made in the village of Sibiel where the community teamed up and restored most of the houses here.
