Go exclusive! Get your own group together and experience the beauty of Rio from a different angle! Whether you desire to celebrate a special date or just celebrate life with your partners, family or a group of friends, a private sail will make your memories last a lifetime!
Come join us aboard our 40-footer sailing yacht on a 3-hour tour under sail in the protected bay or open ocean waters of Rio. Departing from the traditional (established 1920) Yacht Club of Rio de Janeiro at Urca, this sailing experience unveils, right from the start, the two most iconic landmarks of Rio de Janeiro: the statue of Christ The Redeemer and Sugar Loaf. As the sailing proceeds, the Captain will help guests understand the magic of sailing and respond to questions about Rio's history, while guests relax, enjoy our welcome drinks, snacks and appreciate the great views!
Our 3 or 5-hour sailing experiences departs form the exclusive and traditional Yacht Club of Rio de Janeiro. The access is by invitation only, provided by our founder, Captain and member of the club, Cassio Gurjao. After checking in, guests proceed to the water front where they meet the Captain for briefing and boarding. While the morning sail experience allows a softer start at 11am when the wind is lower and the seas are flatter, thus allowing guests to acquire "sea legs" as the experience unfolds, the afternoon experience is more thrilling and it usually tops off with a beautiful sunset. After everyone is comfortably seated, sunny or shaded areas, the action begins! Sails are hoisted, engine is turned off, and the "wowing" session starts! Get your photo cameras ready! For those interested, the Captain will teach a few sailing tricks and let you try the helm. During three hours, we will feel the rush of being propelled by the wind, gaze at amazing scenic sights, see amazing birds, including the frigates and the boobies, and if luck is on our side, sea animals like turtles, dolphins and even whales. Half of the way, drinks and snacks are served to toast life and the good winds! Things to bring:Hat and sun screen;Swimwear and towel;Docksider or other sportive shoe (e.g: sneakers);
