This bizarre-looking and frankly sombre accommodation option is unfortunately your sole option. The approach is a steep, twisting drive on a hill outside town overlooking the mountains. It's no longer one of Puerto Rico's 'hourly rate' motels, but rooms are still the boggiest of bog standard. Try the half-decent restaurant here, if you can navigate the labyrinthine stairs and corridors to discover it.
Pay $5 more to get a room with a window and, if you're lucky, a view. There's a nice pool and – incredibly – room service.
