Which at this time is in nature’s recovery. This Tour gives a peak preview at the Rainforest after Hurricane Marias forceful winds.Enjoy the Rainforest from a different view. One of its best known sites, La Coca Falls will be your first stop for a photo opportunity, then at the Yokaho Observation Tower with a beautiful panoramic view, next stop is at the Mameyes River, (Puente Roto Crossing) which is the most popular water play area on the forest that is currently open to visitors. There you can take pictures and cool off. Water shoes are recommended to go into the river. From your Tour Guide you will learn about the diverse vegetation and wildlife. Like all ecosystems in wake of a natural disaster, the rainforest will now go through a process of succession, with pioneer species taking root first. See how Mother Nature starts bringing back the lush Greenery and recover. After a relaxing time by the river at Rainforest you will enjoy a 2 hour stop at Luquillo Beach. Swim and/or enjoy lunch at the famous Luquillo (Beach & Kiosks) for some local cuisine such as fritters such as “alcapurias”, “bacalaitos” or other local flavors. Cost of lunch not included.
