At the mistic town of Tomar we will talk about the history of Gualdim Pais the founder of one of the pearls of Portugal – Tomar and his Convent of Christ that contains many stories of the Templar Knights and the Portuguese discoveries. First we will get to know the Convent of Christ and the great Manuelino Window, one of the great works of the Manuelino style. After we will walk through the narrows streets of Tomar city center and taste of the local pastry. We will visit the beautiful church of Santa Maria dos Olivais where the Portuguese Templar Knights masters rested on the past. After all the amazing stories and history of the locals visited we go to the amazing Almourol castle, a fortification lost in an island at the calm waters of the Tagus river. To get there we have to go by boat. In the castle we will have some free time to take some beautiful pictures. After the visit of the castle we end our tour.
