This near-legendary Chinese haunt of Chef Lu lies an easy walk from Anjos metro station. Funnily enough in 1997 he was considered the 'second-best' chef in North China. Once running as a clandestine restaurant out of his Mouraria apartment, his uneventfully basic but legit bricks-and-mortar location is all about cheap, tasty and authentic Sichuan/Shandong eats.
You'll find a long list of classics and a few more adventurous choices (spicy frog legs or chicken hearts) – it's all fantastic and affordable. Prepare to wait.
