Quimera Brewpub

Brewery in Lapa & Alcântara

An American-Brazilian couple launched Lisbon's second brewpub in 2016 with 12 beers, including rarer choices such as Belgian blonde ale, American dark lager and experimental brews, along with a few taps devoted to invited lisboêta suds from Dois Corvos, 8ª Colina, Lince and more. Downing proper pints within the Palácio das Necessidades' stone-walled 18th-century carriage tunnel feels vaguely medieval.

There's no proper kitchen, but tender sous-vide pastrami on rye, Reuben and Cuban sandwiches and other light bites (€3 to €9.50) are served, often on excellent artisanal bread from Gelba bakery next door.
