Fatima is well known due to the Virgin Mary appearance in 1917, and for it Sanctuary, it is a place for Catholic pilgrimage. It is also an opportunity to visit the fishing village of Nazaré, known for having the biggest surfed wave and to visit the fortified Obidos. We will leave from Lisbon at 9 am for enjoying the full day. It is a small group tour with maximum of 8 persons. Monument fees and lunch is not included.
We will leave Lisbon at 9 am and we will head to Fatima, arriving there, 1h30m is given to the group, for praying, buying the souvenirs and coffee. The lunch time will be already in the fishing village of Nazaré, former known for the excellent grilled fish and currently for big waves surfing. The stop in Nazare will include sightseeing and visiting Cabo de Santo Agostinho and Praia do Norte, where the biggest wave in the world was surfed. The third stop will be Obidos, the fortified and historical town, with the walls and the castle being constructed and renovated over the centuries, with major impact from the 12 to 14 centuries. After visiting Obidos, it will be time to get back to Lisbon.
