Warszawa Centralna

Train Station in Powiśle & Northern Śródmieście

The tracks for Warsaw's main train station are located underground. The handy PKP Intercity Customer Service Centre on the station concourse is open from 9am to 8.30pm.

The station building, designed by Arsenius Romanowicz and Piotr Szymaniak, was opened in 1975 and is viewed as a modernist gem of Warsaw architectural landscape. In January 2019 it was officially renamed Dworzec Centralny im Stanisława Moniuszki, in honour of the composer Stanisław Moniuszki, regarded as the father of Polish Opera: it is still commonly known as Warszawa Centralna.
