Start a tour of Warsaw at the Royal Castle, a former Mazovian stronghold. Spend the rest of the morning exploring the evocative backstreets of the Old Town, then head to the New Town for lunch. Enjoy the attractive facades along ul Krakowskie Przedmieście and ul Nowy Świat, before crossing town to the Warsaw Rising Museum. Wait until late afternoon to take in the view from the top of the Palace of Culture & Science, then round the day off with dinner at one of the many good restaurants south of al Jerozolimskie.
Begin the day with one of the big museums. Depending on your interests, it could be the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, the Chopin Museum or the quirky Neon Museum. Head back toward ul Nowy Świat for lunch before travelling south of al Jerozolimskie to pass the early afternoon in beautiful Łazienki Park. Late afternoon explore Warsaw’s markets and craft shops. End your second day with dinner and drinks, then perhaps a classical music concert at the Filharmonia Narodowa or a pub crawl in Praga.
