Boat
Tickets for all boat services are available at the terminals and from most travel agencies around town. All ferries depart from the ferry terminal on Wolin Island, on the right bank of the Świna River (across the river from the main town).
Adler-Schiffe (www.adler-schiffe.de) This German company runs cruises from Świnoujście to Bansin, Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf in Germany, up to four times daily. The tourist office has information on times and prices.
Polferries (www.polferries.pl) Major carrier Polferries operates regular ferries to Ystad (Sweden), and Rönne and Copenhagen (Denmark).
Unity Line (www.unityline.pl) Runs daily ferries from the northwestern port of Świnoujście to Ystad, Sweden. Information and tickets online.
Bus
Świnoujście has the following bus and minibus connections.
Międzyzdroje 6.50zł, 15 minutes, frequent
Szczecin 20zł, 1¾ hours, frequent
Car & Motorcycle
Cars not belonging to local residents (those not bearing ZSW plates) can only use the shuttle ferry between Uznam and Wolin Islands (between the railway station on one side and the town centre on the other) at weekends and between 10pm and 4am on weekdays; otherwise you’ll have to head for the crossing serving Karsibór Island, 7km south of Świnoujście. Passage for both vehicles and passengers is free.
Train
The bus terminal and train station are next to each other on the right bank of the Świna River. Passenger ferries shuttle constantly between the town centre and the stations (free, 10 minutes).
