The narrow-gauge train, the Bieszczady Forest Railway, was built at the end of the 19th century to transport timber. Some tracks were in use as recently as the 1990s, but the line has since been turned into a tourist attraction and is particularly popular with families. Based in Majdan, 2km west of Cisna, two runs are on offer: a longer, higher 12km stretch that goes to Przysłup (one hour), and a flatter 9km stretch that runs to Balnica (45 minutes).
