Bieszczady Forest Railway

Rail in Cisna

The narrow-gauge Bieszczady Forest Railway was built at the end of the 19th century to transport timber. Some tracks were in use as recently as the 1990s, but the line has since been turned into a tourist attraction and is particularly popular with families. Based in Majdan, 2km west of Cisna, it has two runs on offer.

The longer, higher 12km run goes to Przysłup (one hour), while the flatter 9km route runs to Balnica (45 minutes).
