Rendezvous is one of Belltown's oldest heirlooms, starting life in 1927 as a speakeasy and a screening room for early Hollywood talkies. Now on its umpteenth incarnation, the subterranean speakeasy has morphed into 'the Grotto' (with weekly comedy), the screening room has become the diminutive Jewel Box Theater and the clamorous space upstairs a chic-ish bar and restaurant.
