Coffee Top

Xining

This Tibetan place is a top choice for a coffee, or a Tibetan breakfast (tsampa porridge with honey; ¥22) at the start of your Xining day. There's Bob Marley, a charcoal ceiling, books scattered around, comfy sofas and even a picture of pre-fire Notre Dame. There's a pleasant spot on a raised platform at the back where you can stake your claim.

Also on the menu are banana pancakes with chocolate or honey (¥22), tsampa soup (¥25), yoghurt with barley (¥28) and more, plus a good selection of coffee, teas and shakes.
