Qinghai

This lovely upstairs 3rd-floor restaurant is a very enjoyable experience. Nab a seat in a curtained cubicle for privacy; English skills of the staff are not so good, but the selection is all photographically depicted on the iPad menu. Select between baked mushrooms, seasoned roast-lamb ribs, substantial meat-filled bread, tasty vegetable rolls and a host of other dishes.

Find it down a small curving alleyway opposite the Regong Hotel (热贡宾馆, Règòng Bīnguǎn); enter the courtyard garden and take the stairs up to the 3rd floor.
