Tucked away on an otherwise quiet backstreet, Bar 1928 specializes in cocktails and superior bar food. The street-side veranda gets packed early on weekends but more seating is available in a side alley and dining room. Traditional Brazilian dishes have been given a modern twist (sharing plates around R$34), and the excellent cocktails are not to be missed.

Bar 1928 is part of the rapidly growing bar and restaurant scene south of Rua Voluntários da Pátria, which includes CoLAB, South Ferro, Ceviche RJ and Slow Bakery.
