Harbin Grand Theatre

Harbin

An architectural marvel, this sinuous, space-age theatre complex designed by MAD Architects has two auditoriums and hosts orchestral, dance and operatic performances from China and overseas. Ask at your hotel to purchase tickets via Wechat or online (Chinese only). Alternatively you can buy at the box office on site. They respond to English requests via their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/HarbinGrandTheatre).

It's worth a visit for a photo-op, even if you don't see a show. Bus 3 takes around 45 minutes to get there from the Flood Control Monument stop on Youyi Lu. A taxi costs around ¥30.
