Ditta Artigianale

Oltrarno

The second branch of Florence's premier coffee roaster treats its faithful hipster clientele to full-blown dining in a 1950s-styled interior alongside its signature speciality coffees and and laid-back vibe. Think bright geometric-patterned wallpaper, comfy gold and pea-green armchairs, a mezzanine bistro up top, buzzing ground-floor bar below, and tiny street terrace out the back.

Watch for barista-run coffee workshops and tastings. Brunch (€9 to €19), served from 9am to 6pm, translates as fantastic pancakes, pastries, eggs in every guise, maple-syrup-soaked French toast, muesli bowls and so forth. Feisty burgers and club sandwiches (€8 to €12) dominate the lunchtime kitchen.
