Chez Bubba

Top choice in Saba

Pronounced 'boo-ba' and named for the owner's late dog, this darling bistro has a small but choice menu starring seafood risotto, beef carpaccio and grilled steak. Oenophiles will swoon at the 2500 bottles stored in the elegant wine room – most are available by the glass.

Save room for spectacular desserts. We liked molten chocolate lava cake with homemade rum-and-raisin ice cream or piña colada pudding.

On Tuesdays, the space is taken over by the Different Tastes social dining initiative at lunchtime.
