Restoran Qajariyeh

Iran

If it were central this sofrekhane-style restaurant would be the obvious choice for kababs, tarchin (a layered lamb and rice dish) or a teahouse experience. Sadly it's out on a desolate highway side, 2.5km out of the centre via Beheshti St (500m beyond Imam Reza Sq).

The outside facade isn't promising but there's an attractive interior decked with creeper plants and Esfahani-style knicknacks.
