Blackman's Brewery

Top choice in Great Ocean Road

One of Victoria's best microbreweries is this brewpub, where you can taste all eight Blackman's beers, which are produced on-site. Go the tasting paddle ($16) to sample the range of IPAs, unfiltered lager, pale ale and inventive seasonals – enjoy by a roaring fire or in the AstroTurf beer garden, along with a menu of pizzas, tacos and burgers.

Swing by 3pm Thursday or Saturday for a free brewery tour. Past seasonals include a snail ale, a sea-salt IPA, a tomato-and-basil gose and brews made using old-world techniques. It also has a taphouse in Geelong and Ocean Grove.
