Martin's Bay

Barbados

Fronted by a sliver of sand, this little village is about as local as you get. It has a combined bar/restaurant, a shop and some picnic tables – that's it. Like elsewhere around here, this isn’t swimming country, but watching the fishing boats bobbing up and down in the ceaseless surf is captivating.

Look for signs on the main road as the turn-off is not that obvious.
