This converted 1882 water tower surrounded by gardens is an ode to the ingenuity of Dutch design. Inside, 20 individually designed rooms are decorated with art and recycled furniture; the family rooms are in sheds next to the garden and are nowhere near as atmospheric. New pontoon rooms next to a parterre garden on the Wantij will open in 2019.
À la carte breakfasts are enjoyed in an on-site restaurant, which overlooks a large kitchen garden and orchard. The popularity of the restaurant means that the surrounds can lack tranquillity. Private boat rental is available.
