Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort

Waikiki

Sprawled on a prime stretch of sand, you can hit the surf in the morning then join the party crowd at Duke’s Waikiki over sunset cocktails. The 524 rooms are generic and look like they could be anywhere in the world, but at least they're close to the beach (and have balconies and fridges). The resort fee is $32.

In-room wired internet, and lobby and poolside wi-fi are complimentary for guests, as are Hawaiian cultural activities such as ukulele, hula and lei-making classes. Valet-parking only.
