Ice-cream makers often wax lyrical about ‘fresh ingredients’, but it doesn’t get fresher than Møn Is, where you can lick in full view of the cows that made it all possible. Available flavours vary seasonally but typically include luscious fruit sorbets and creamy salted caramel.
Although the farm’s official address is in Stege, the location is actually amid fields 8km southeast, signposted 3km off the Møns Klint road: look for the cow statue. On arrival you drive through what looks like a mini industrial estate, but don't despair – the view from the cafe itself is pretty and you can sometimes visit the calves in the neighbouring cowshed.
