Apiria Taverna

Dodecanese

Opening off a tiny alcove behind the church, this friendly taverna has tasteful burgundy-and-mustard walls and a few sheltered outdoor tables. It serves Nisyrian dishes, including pitia and lamb, pork and vegetable specialities. It's one of the few places open all year. Oh, and be sure to check out the air holes in the wall... natural heating from the volcano.
